We, a group of close friends, came together and organized our first blood donation camp on 26 January 2011, initially just as a get-together… but behind that small initiative was a big dream — that needy people should receive blood on time!

In that very first camp, 143 donors participated enthusiastically. From the 10% blood quota we received through it, we committed ourselves to providing free blood to those in need… and that is how our true journey began.

After this, on 26 January 2012, we organized our second camp. This time, as many as 260 donors participated. Seeing the increasing response, our confidence grew stronger, and “service” became our identity.

In 2013, we decided to do something bigger… not just a camp, but a Mega Blood Donation अभियान!
We appealed to every group — “Come, donate blood… save someone’s life!”
And society did not disappoint us… with a remarkable participation of 2,036 donors, the अभियान became historic.

In the same year, diseases like jaundice were spreading rapidly. During that difficult time, with the support of Jai Hind Youth Foundation and Jai Hind Mandal, another large blood donation camp was organized, in which around 2,000 donors participated.

Through all these initiatives, one thing became very clear — Ichalkaranji needed a well-equipped blood bank!
Because in 2013–14, due to the outbreak of jaundice, as many as 38 people from Ichalkaranji and nearby areas lost their lives… simply because blood and its components were not available on time.

This pain, this call… did not let us sit quietly.

And then, under the inspiration of Hon. Shri R. R. (Aaba) Patil, through the R. R. (Aaba) Patil Education, Agriculture, Research and Development Institute,
“Aadhar Blood Bank” was established on 22 August 2014.

Earlier, people had to travel to distant cities like Sangli, Miraj, Kolhapur, and Pune for blood components… time, money, and most importantly lives were at risk.

But with “Aadhar Blood Bank,” the situation changed completely…

• Advanced SDP (Apheresis) machine was made available locally
• 95% of blood components started becoming available immediately
• Doctors and patients got great relief
• Most importantly — many lives started being saved!

Today, “Aadhar Blood Bank” is not just an institution…
it has become a symbol of trust, hope, and life-saving support for thousands of people. ❤️
